Question on sound alert

I've been using a licensed version 2.05p2 on my desktop with WinXP/SP2 for about a month.
I set up a new wireless notebook with a trial version 2.05p2 this week.

I was using a wired router but switched to a new wireless.

At first I was getting occasional beeps from both computers at the same time.
I went through the LookNStop FAQs and created a rule to allow the 2 computers communication.
That stopped most of the alerts on the
main desktop.

I'm getting alerts on the notebook only from the router IP address, and also from
an address that looks like the mac address of the router.
The mac address alert will sometimes go nonstop until I disable the firewall temporarily.
One other thing........My router mac address ends with 8A,
the alert address in the log is identical to the router mac
except it ends in 8C.

Sorry this is a long post, just wanted to get all the info out there.

This is really strange.
You could try to verify the MAC and IP address association in a command windows (DOS Style) by entering the command "arp -a".
What are the kind of packet which are blocked ?

After the first post I created some rules to allow the router address.
That stopped most of the alerts.
After reading Frederic's reply I tried disabling the rule but was unable to re-create the alert.

I've had some other issues with LookNStop that I will address in a separate post.
