Netscape ISP and IE with SP2

I got netscape 9.99 isp dial up and it's pretty good to me, it comes with free web accelerator and the web accerelator isn't compatible with Firefox. So I have to use IE, I don't mind I.E but I want to make sure I'm somewhat safe, I know I cannot be as safe as with Firefox but I want to be pretty secure.

My question is how safe is SP2 with safe web browsing and so forth? I don't do porn or any other stuff like that, mainly job hunts and music boards.

Netscape web accelerator was works with Netscape 7.2 browser, is that a better idea or I.E?

You can use IE. Just learn how to set it up securely.

If the acclereator works with Netscape, GO for it!

Netscape is built on the Gecko browser engine -- the same engine used by Mozilla, Firefox, & K-Meleon. myself i use netzero w/highspeed. i have had no probs with it or the support help from them. and after seeing the netscape commercial where they used to say 10 bucks for the regualr and on the puter screen 5 bucks for acceraltor and 1 buck for email and 1 buck for popup blocker and all that was better than netzeros stuff, do the math, that commercial was saying netscape was 17 bucks for the same stuff netzero gave you for 14.95. and now netscape has hacked thier commercial at the point where he turns to the puter and now they give you the accelerator with the 9.95. im sticking with netzero.
