-{ Quote: "But Blackspear...I'm afraid i don't know what is "Vegemite"" }-It is available from the local supermarket and spreads on sandwiches and toast, as well as many other things, like flavoring lamb roasts. All our Aussie kids grow up on it. To us, it is nature finest...
The original recipe of Vegemite as a concentrated yeast extract has remained virtually unchanged for 80 years.
Yeast is known as a natural source of the vitamin B complex which includes thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, p-amino benzoic acid and several other compounds.
Yeast extract is four or five times more concentrated than yeast, making it one of the richest known sources of the vitamin B group. In addition to being rich in vitamin B, yeast extract also contains other essential proteins and minerals – all of which make Vegemite an excellent addition to the family diet.
A single serving of Vegemite (5g) on a slice of bread provides a large percentage of your daily vitamin B requirements.

No offence there Mr.Blackspear but my brother in law brought some vegemite home from when he was in the navy. He was in Australia talking to your government on military business and thought he would bring me some. I still think about that first bite :-X It was quite an experience. I guess it is an acquired taste.

I think its lovely how the members react towards the post count of others. They don't get competitive or nasty, the drop tools a moment and congratulate the person, when they are doing well.
Isn't it lovely? :)
