kav workstation 5.0.157 problem?

I just install kav workstation 5.0.157 version when running system scan my cpu usage is very high 80% to time using 100% cpu usage and the rest of 20% is around 70% cpu usage. so is this normal?

ps. MY system windowxp pro with athalon xp 2200 and 512mb of memory

The default startup scan seems to basically be a full system treatment. See here (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55891), especially post #6, for settings that I've used. They seem to bring system utilization to a reasonable level - but I believe that most of this is due to curtailing the startup scan - so try that alone first if you prefer to keep the basic default configuration.
