McAffee 9.0 access denied

:'( I have recently loaded ver. 9.0 and cannot access recent updates or even register the product due to error messages caused by, I am assuming, infected files. So, upon loading Spybot S&D I now find that it freezes upon attempting the eliminate the corrupt files found. The same happens with Spyware Blaster.

Help ? My patience is about gone !!!

If it were me:

I would uninstall all the apps you mention. Do an online virus scan. Google for online virus scans.
If you are clean, run scandisk on your operating system, a defrag wouldn't hurt either.

Before reinstalling McAfee, I would go to the forums for McAfee (http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/viewforum.php?f=51&sid=c5d852ec4f1c7b85ac24b478bac373fa) and see what kind of problems people are having with the version you are using.

If you feel like you can reinstall, go for it. I wouldn't put any other apps on until I felt McAfee was stable.
