Does anyone know of any alternative internet search engines to the mainstream ones like google, yahoo, altavista, etc..

I have known of, and been using one provided by scroogle.org - but I think its been discontinued.

I don't want to use the major ones because of privacy issues etc. I don't want to be giving them information on what I'm searching for etc. I know they keep track of that (and possibly sell/provide it to thrid parties).

If you use the minor search engines you are more likely to run into privacy implications rather than the major ones

and you won't find what you are looking for

If a search engine doesn't keep a track of what is being searched for how will they know what to list and what people want them to list
