I need 2 or more pdf files running at the same time, but it seems that acrobat opens one at a time (I have acrobat and the reader). Any help. Thanks

Hi dober, -{ Quote: "I need 2 or more pdf files running at the same time, but it seems that acrobat opens one at a time (I have acrobat and the reader)." }-When you open several pdf files, they can be found as a seperate window inside Acrobat, so you can easily swith to another. :)
Or do you want something else?

You could use Adobe to open said file and then use Internet Explorer(File\Open) to open the same file for comparison.

Hi,
As a little side-note:
I'm not sure what you want to do exactly when you gave that example for comparing two pdf files, but maybe this could also help (sorry, I'm not sure...).
There is an absolutely great program Beyond Compare (not free):
http://www.scootersoftware.com
Beyond Compare gives you all kind of ways for comparing files, folders, etc.
The Helpfile says that it cannot compare pdf files:
Quote:
The built-in File Viewer is designed to handle text files only. It cannot directly compare formatted documents such as MS Word, Excel or PDF files. These have complex, proprietary formats that the program doesn't understand. However, you can configure the File Comparison Rules to call an external conversion tool to extract plain text from documents before comparison. See our website for add-on rules that you can download:
- end quote -
The following page seems to have rules for pdf-files:
PDF documents (*.pdf)
PdfToText.zip (240kb)
http://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php?c=kb_morerules
Maybe this all could help you....
Note: I don't have experience with this extra pdf tool !
