For all are members this is a addition to the review on their new release. The question was brought up as to how many virus def Dr.Web detects. Here is the direct quote from Dr.Web.

{QUOTE-> The exact number of viruses that can be detected using our definition base is exceeding 100,000 <-QUOTE}
Therefore on par with KAV and F-Prot. And Dr Web has excellent heuristics to support this large database of malware signatures.
{QUOTE-> But the figure is of little use to those who are professionals of the market. Better to detect just one which is the utmost issue today and miss thousands of others never appearing in the wild than score on zoo viruses and miss that one <-QUOTE}
ITW viruses, when compared to zoo samples are definitely the more important ones for your AV program to detect.

Thanks for the info, musicman ;)
