Norton 2005, how to terminate process in task manager

Hi all!

usually in nav 2003 I bring up windows task manager and select
ccApp.exe and end process, but now with 2005
it tells me

"Unable to terminate process
The operation could not be completed
Access is denied"

I try to close all programs while playing games

MISCELLANEOUS

UNCHECK the box that says "Enable Protection For My Symantec Product"
