I just bought acronis disk editor suite after trying out the demo. I had issues with how it did things without telling me, but that is neither here nor there.
What I'm having trouble with is that boot loader worked for a while, but when I tried to resize my ntfs partion that windows XP home is on, boot loader ceased to work, giving the text message decribed in the subject.
How can I recover from this? I'd really rather not hard format my drive and start over.
Also, my computer is a laptop. It has no floppy drive and the CD drive does not write, so it was not an option for me to make a rescue disk. I have access to another computer with a CD writer-- provided I can get the image file of the rescue disk without having to buy another acronis licence.
So, I'm pretty much screwed?
