We did a quick evaluation as our previous Antivirus license was running out. Now, having NOD32, we are trying to get things automated on our network. Could someone please help me with where I can get the update files WITHOUT using the control center? (We have the mirror on an Apache webserver for our LAN and we would like to use wget or rsync in the crontab to get our updates.) Thanks!

Hi Steve,

While we wait to hear from one of the Eset people with more specifics, I'm wondering if you've seen the NOD32 FAQ located here:

http://www.nod32.com/support/faq.htm

In the Updating section, halfway down that page, there is the question "How can NOD32 be updated in a network? (http://www.nod32.com/support/ans/4i.htm)". There is a link on that answer page to the "Installation manual of Control center (http://www.nod32.com/support/ans/nod32cc_inst.htm#siet)" which has detailed setup information for setting up automatic updates in a network.

Hope this helps,
LowWaterMark

Thanks for the reply, but I did look there and, as I read it, all of the information refers to using the Control Center. I would like the Apache server to automatically go out by itself and get the updates through something like wget -N.

Hi Stephen,

the NOD32 for Linux documentation can help you - it's bundled with the product in the download section of the NOD32 website (http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm) (pls. read the file README.update).

rgds, :)
