IMON's POP Ports

I've just started to use Pocomail and have discovered (using a port mapper - no mention in the docs) that it's using port 3270 and not 110.

I presume that I just need to add this to IMON's POP3 protocol list to get the inbound protection. Or am I misunderstanding something?

That sounds odd. Are you using pop3 for mail? Have you tried attaching the scanned by NOD32 message to all emails under the current conditions?

Yes, the tag is on all received messages so they are being scanned (why didn't I think of that?)

I've just asked a related question on the Poco forum and it's been suggested that 110 is the server port and the client port is whatever the developer chooses.

Does that sound right? I'm not sure it does to me.

Port 110 is standard for pop3 mail. As you are the client and using pop3, it will always be port 110.

All is now clear: using my firewall's packet log it can be seen that 110 is always the source port but (in the case of Pocomail) the local (client) port varies (randomly?).
