Acronis and external hard Disk USB drives

Good day,



My question is simple.

Can Acronis work through ( It means, does Acronis recognize Maxtor USB external Hard drive after boot with Acronis bootable diskettes/CD)

Maxtor One touch II external hard drive USB/FireWire.

I don't have a Maxtor but do have a TEAC external USB hard drive. TI 8.0 does recognize it after booting from a Rescue CD. I haven't done a full restore this way but did do a few files and folders just to see if it worked OK.

Just to add that whilst the "Full" version of the boot rescue disk supports (certain) USB & Firewire drives the "Safe" version doesn't.

I use ATI with a Maxtor 3000LE and 3000LS with no problems. Should work on any of the Maxtor USB2 drives, but have you tried the demo at www.acronis.com to be sure? Boot Disk sees them both, and another Iomega USB2 disk and will restore from any of them.
