I don't know but I suspect they are doing server work in the background.
It's been going on since last night.
If not that--?

Our web hosting company had both network and server worked planned for late last night, (relative to my time zone, that is - Eastern Standard). Many of you experienced the periodic network outages that starting about 12-13 hours or so ago, including some times of some accessibility, but with lots of packet loss. Well, this last 13 minute outage (16:17:52 to 16:30:41 GMT -05:00) was finally the end of that work.

Uncalled for in a public forum. Definitely in bad taste Dog. Honestly, it would have been simple enough. Your configuration (Apache Unix) can only turn off 123 syn packets per second. There are platforms that can generate 22,000/sec and will keep you off the air for as long as they are on.
