Need Help With Taskbar

Hi i have a relitively minor but very irritating problem and that is for some reason and all of a sudden when ever i start up windows my task bar isnt there.

So I have to go to the bottom of the screan and click and drag it up to visibilty.

Does any one know how to fix this. (i use windows XP with no service packs installed)

Right Click on the Taskbar

Click on Properties

Untick autohide taskbar

Thanks for your reply but it was already unticked so i dont think it is that.

If your settings are as in the screenshot, it should be visible. I have mine set to autohide.
