Will the new version of Nod be able to protect emails brought in through Outlook Express, as in I have added a Hotmail account in OE.
Hotmail already has McAfee checking for viruses, but my own experience is, some get straight past, hence if the email is not being routed through Nod, my only protection is reliant upon Amon, which is still great, but would rather have emails driven through Nod in the correct manner ;D
Cheers.

Hi Blackspear,
While you wait for an Eset person to answer you with the specifics to this question, you may want to read the thread linked below. The Eset folks noted that the new version of Nod will completely change how email scanning is done. The POP3 interface is being replaced by a scanner that works at the winsock level and which appears like it'll provide much more power and configurability...

Hey Blackspear,
the new NOD version has no problems with checking e-mails and cleaning viruses coming to OE through the POP3 protocol. Hotmail uses the HTTP protocol as I know - this will be not included in NOD in the nearest future.
