How old is this forum and who started it?

This forum was started by Paul Wilders.
This forum started in 2002, I think.

Nah this forum is older than 2002 - just not the newest form of it (software)

The Yabb boards started in Feb of 2002 and just recently migrated to vBulletin.
The board was originally on EZBoard. I was around the for only a couple of months before it became Yabb. Not sure when the original EZBoard started.....

I think it (= the forum at EZBoard) was started in about September 2001 ;)
(maybe a little earlier...)

CLOSING THIS BOARD AND MOVING TO A NEW BOARD

We are glad to announce our new board has been set up and is running now.

As a result:

1) all existing threads have been closed;

2) these EZboard forums has changed into an "archive". (EZboard does not allow migration of existing posts technically). On the new board, an "archive forum" has been set up, so everyone can refer to an existing thread or post if needed.

3) The new board is full security patched, and needs javascript (and cookies - for one cookie only) being enabled in order to get full advantages from the numerous possibilities from the new board.

4) you are encouraged to register, to avoid "name spoofing" (others posting under one and the same name).

5) a "help forum" is available for all questions regarding the new board; feel free to post if you have questions and/or are encountering problems.

6) a copy from this announcement has been posted on every EZboard for your convenience.

In the archives, this forum started on the YaBB on February 9, 2002. It grew by leaps and bounds in two short years, here.

Before that? Haven't went searching that hard, just glad it's here NOW! :D
