I tried installing the english trial version of drweb32 today, but I keep getting the following error message:

Can't run 16-bit Windows Program

Cannot find file c:\*****\****\setup.exe (or one of it's components). Check to ensure the path and file name are correct and all required libraries are available.

Any ideas?

Spaceboy,

What O/S is installed? Anyway: could be a corrupt download. Try downloading and installing a fresh copy.

I presume you did shut down all other running apps before installing - NOD32 (all components) included.

btw: you'll find our DrWeb screen shots here (http://www.wilders.org/screenshots20.htm).

regards.

Windows XP.

I've tried downloading it a couple of times now (from Dialogue Science), but I still get the same problem.

The trial version from Drweb's main site installs ok as well, but it's obviously not in English." }-

Spaceboy,

did you grab the trial version from here (http://www.dials.ru/english/download/), making sure you did choose all the right options?

regards.

Yes.

Ok, after changing the path of the temp folder from \Documents and Settings\*******\Local Settings\Temp to \Windows\Temp, it installed fine.

However, after rebooting, I get the following message:

SpIDer Guard Agent is needed under Windows 95/98only.

Is there no real time protection for XP then?

No, it says that but Spider should go ahead and load anyway.
Did you not get a green spider show up in your systray after you clicked Spider.exe?

Didn't come up on first reboot. However after 2nd reboot it appears and everything appears to be working now.

Thanks anyway.
