My mother has Windows 95a without any antivirus program. I tried to install several programs, but they all say that windows is too old or something goes wrong while instals. So I would like to ask you which antivirus you recommend?

I thought F-Prot worked on win95 but I checked their site & it said 98 & up. Dr. Web will work on win95, only don't install the scheduler or the email scanner if you want to conserve resources. I'm not sure what else works, I try not to think about win95 anymore... ;)

If you have not already done so....it may be adviseable to consider installing the win95 updates as well......of course backup first...(you need to know which version of 95 your mother is using to proper choose the downloads...or else read very carefully which download is for ALL versions...,,,if you are not sure....DON'T DO ANYTHING)

F-Prot for Dos is free and effective. I used it on Win95.

I have F-PROT for DOS on it but it doesn't have real time scanning. AntiVir dropped an error out.

AntiVir-PE is your best bet for a Win95 antivirus program...
