View Full Version : 2,000 member coming up...
Paul Wilders

Ladies and Gents,
As you have might noticed, we are heading to our 2,000 registered member fast. Thank you all for your valued input, questions and answers!
As a token from our appreciation, we will - once again - will provide a fully licensed copy from a top notch security software for the 2,000th registered member.
For the record: we're talking real new registered member here - existing registered members opening another account/membership are excluded from "competition".
So: Let the countdown start!
On behalf of our Team,
regards,
paul

And just in case you were wondering, we have ways of enforcing this ;)

important change!
A "small" change: Instead of providing the top notch security software to the 2,000 registered (new!) member, we will pick at random a newly registered member from the 1,900 - 2,001 range.
Seems more fun that way - and no need to keep a keen eye on when to register anymore.
regards.

Compliment. I thought it was a good way to get to the 2000 member goal quicker because the last 10 will all be on equal footing. Wasn't meant as bad and sorry if it came across that way. Have nothing but the utmost respect for you and all connected with this board. bob
Wanted to add: I highly recommend this as one of my favorites whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Just starting to cruise round your site.
My question is; What is the way to clean out locked INDEX.dat files?
My O/S is W2000pro. IE 6.0 SP1. Q328970,
My IT skill level is PGS, ( Point, Grunt, Spellcheck.)
I came to this board from a suggestion in a post on Lavasoft, my same question.
So far, I'm glad I got here, nice board, nice site, nice range of issues and responses.
And a free prize draw!! What can I say?
Peace on Earth

Hi britdog and Welcome to Wilders !!
Here is a thread over in the Privacy forum section that will get you started on index.dat information...
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=1994
FYI - If you want to continue discussion on index.dat or other related topics, please feel free to start a new thread in the appropriate forum section. As you can see, this thread is about our 2,000th member and the related contest. It'd be a little distracting to others if we take it off topic. ;)
Again, welcome. We look forward to your future participation.

Oh thanks, On my way
This post was more about how I got to be the 1993rd member. And I suppose I was looking for a quick fix, like "oh what you need is a gallon of kerosene, a match, a good sandwich and a couple of beers."
'scuse the irreverence, ( hey did I spell that right?)
Hope I haven't messed your thread up too much. It was the excitement of the prize!
peace

As a mod and long time member i'm not in the contest myself, but the excitement of seeing it happen and the joy of somebody winning the "outstanding security product" is the same! And we as a forum might be able to contribute on questions and supporting what i really like and what we're here for.
You still might win it, coming closer to 2001 now! Fingers crossed!
Hope to see your "dat" question in the other forum threads and see you helped out soon!

Well done, Geeske!
Not a bad present at all, if I might say. :D
And there's lots of folks here that are very knowledgeable on the subject and would be more than happy to help you get the hang of this fabulous software.

Congratulations Geeske,
and welcome in the Wilders forum.
Looking forward to see you in the DCS forums here and help you around with the secrets of the most pleasant way of securing your system with TDS.
Nothing wrong with your english, i can understand you, even though english is not my first language either.
In the DCS forums somewhere i posted a helpful link to the most wonderful Aussie slang online dictionary which might be handy dealing with some local communications ideas with this Australian software.
Of course there is not any need to wait for the registration key to install TDS, as the key will unlock further functions in the already installed software, but all this you'll find in the TDS forums here.
So let's keep this thread for welcoming and congratulations, and to remind people we from the forum are thinking about a next contest to come for all members, so keep registering and it's up to the forum admin to announce that in the proper time. Looking forward to that too!

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php?board=5
it's a great forum and if any problem pops up, i'll wil post it here. Jooske (nice name) oke and also thanks, i will soon install TDS after uninstalling The Cleaner, not much use anyway! Thanks all, back to business. ;D

No need to uninstall the Cleaner, keep it in the background for second opinion at times, as TDS runs fine beside it.
Thanks for liking my name :) I'm used to it and it really has dutch pronounciation (so no juicezzzky but almost yoke with an S in it)
Supporting you further in the TDS forum, between the flying pink animals circus and more serious stuff, just to show with TDS security is back to real enjoyment too!
