I've burned CDs with the prior Disk Director version. Build 518 reports "Error burning the bootable CD-R/CD-RW". No other info to go on. Meanwhile, Roxio writes to the drive just fine. Are there Roxio or other processes that interfere? Please advise. Thanks.

Hello Norm,
Thank you for using Acronis Disk Director Suite (http://www.acronis.com/products/diskdirector/).
Please try to uninstall Acronis Disk Director Suite from you computer completely and perform a clear installation of the latest build.
Please update third party CD writing software if any to the latest version available for free on its respective web site.
Please also note that you should use a blank unformatted CD-R or CD-RW in order to create a bootable rescue disc.
If the problem persists please contact support@acronis.com regarding this problem.
Thank you.

Deinstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted = No Change; still have the error. >:(
Removed Roxio Easy Media Creator V7 - that fixed the problem. :D
I suspect the Roxio drag-to-disk function locks the CD-RW drive but did not dig to confirm this.
Cheers-
Norm

I use Nero burning software, INCD etc. Has anyone reported similar problems with Nero as with Roxio? TIA
John
