If you receive an error about either of these two files, the following instructions should allow you to use SpywareBlaster without these problems:

MSINET.OCX

UPDATE: The manual installation instructions for MSINET.OCX should no longer be needed - the latest SpywareBlaster installer copies this file if it is not present on your system.

Download the file from here (select Save As): http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/msinet.cab

Then, copy both files from the file you downloaded to any folder (but make sure you copy both to the same folder). To do this, highlight both files, right-click and select "copy". Then go to any folder and right-click and select "paste".

Right-click on the MSINET.INF file that you have now extracted and select "Install".

MSCOMCTL.OCX

UPDATE: There is now an easier method that you can use to install this file if it is missing. Simply download and run the following MSCOMCTL Installer (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/missingfilesetup.exe), available on the Javacool Software website, and it will copy and register the file for you.

Manual instructions on how to install the file are available below, if you would like to take that route.

(Below are the manual installation instructions for MSCOMCTL.OCX. They are NOT needed if you have downloaded and run the installer above.

Download the file from here (select Save As): http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/mscomctl.cab

Then, copy both files from the file you downloaded to any folder (but make sure you copy both to the same folder). To do this, highlight both files, right-click and select "copy". Then go to any folder and right-click and select "paste".

Right-click on the MSCOMCTL.INF file that you have now extracted and select "Install".

After a major crash, i could not get anything to get comctl32.ocx to register properly including the above procedure.
That also prevented spyblocker's pacfile to get installed.

But this solved it: http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/libraryfiles.exe
