Dearest Blaze, i'm sure by now you downloaded at least the evaluation version of PE to look at it and the very nice helpfile, to realise if you really want to play around with the full functionality of it only a fully featured (registered) version can serve your needs.
As i see in the sytem requirements it can run even on 486 systems, imagine those might be used by older generations of people who might in cases be less quick in understanding the new stuff of today, as well as all versions of windows above 3.11, even the newer today's XP, yeah, it must be newbee / newbie / newby proof.

Just recently Mr Blaze a "newbies" guide was added to the Help File. Most of Port Explorer is newbie friendly, when you first start Port Explorer it shows you the list of sockets on your system, resolving most of them to a process. That way you can tell what programs are doing what, I think that is fairly easy to use but some of the advanced tools like Socket Spy might require a little knowledge. Its hard for me to say if its easy or not because I think it is, so I hope some other people who have used it can tell you.

The help files are clear, concise, and cross-linked -- easily understandable even for those without a working knowledge of ports and protocols. The app navigation is simplicity personified, a very nice bit of programming. Even the people that ride the short bus could be running Port Explorer like an expert without much trouble at all. Why not dl the trial and see for yourself?
