Deleting *.bak Files

At C:\…\tds3\xdynamic\tds.fps\ there are many files of the type "scsfps[number].bak", where serial numbers, starting with "1", appear within the square brackets.

Is it OK to delete all except for the most recent file?

What is the purpose of these files?

Hi there, those are copies of your critical system files, so better keep them.
