View Full Version : Spyware Guard Run Time Error

I received the following error after installing Symantec Antivirus on a computer that was already successfully running SpywareGuard. Upon system start, SpywareGuard runs for a bit, then reports the following error.

Run-time error '-2147024770 (8007007e)':

Automation error
The specified module could not be found.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I uninstalled Symantec Anti-virus, and reinstalled SpywareGuard, but I still get the error. System is running XP Pro SP1. Any suggestions?

I have seen this error posted before and i found this thread,

Not really a sure solution but hopefully there's something there that will help u.

The DAO350.dll file could be missing from the System folder, or improperly registered. Reinstall the DAO350.dll file and register it by choosing Run from the Start menu in the taskbar and typing the following: "Regsvr32.exe DAO350.dll" without quotes.

The msvcrt40.dll file could be missing from the System folder, or improperly registered. Reinstall the msvcrt40.dll file and register it by choosing Run from the Start menu in the taskbar and typing the following: "Regsvr32.exe msvcrt40.dll" without quotes.
