AV with the best spyware protection?

I do PTR's (Paid to read emails) and I wanna know which one of the Security Suites will do a good job with this. I have spybot and adware and spyware blaster as well but I run Firefox as a browser and I know sometimes these PTR's slip up and might drop a little gift onto your PC.

So which one do you think is capable of handling the job?

Agreed but if your place of work runs it, try for the Enterprise Edition rather than the retail version.

thanks for all the replies, I run kaspersky 5.0 personal but didn't think it actually caught spyware.

You need to download Extended Database. You can also set Auto-Update with Extended databases.

Karl.. this is for my 4.5 PRO for Super Xtended Databases

Follow my screenshot if using 4.5 PRO.

Open GUI, Select Tasks TAB
Right Click ON the Update Module
Select Properties/Select Connection TAB
Expand the 'Update Kaspersky Anti-Virus from Internet' [+ symbol]
Expand the 'URL' Lists
Click on the Little ... Symbol, highlighted in yellow.
You then get that 'Edit URL List' box you see.
Click on an URL
Click on that symbol you see in pic to 'Modify URL'
The URL then becomes 'editable'.. simply add an underscore x [_x] to end of URL like mine, hihglighted in green. :)

You can also delete any extra ones you don't want.

In the several months I have had it, I have only ever used those 2 URL's, *never* failed to get an update, and have never had an FP with it. But, then again, I don't surf anywhere as much as some would. ;)

Currently it has [S]104590 104625 defs , but that changes rapidly as updates are hourly, as you can see I just did another one and got 35 extra defs. :)

[I]edit: There are two types of Extended databases.
Extended
and Super Xtended [I think that's what they are calling it].

_ext is for Extended [I think, haven't used it]
_x for Super at end of URL's. :)

Just configure the update option to update from internet/extended bases(one of the three options available with Kav5) if you want to use the x-bases(paranoid bases!) you have to copy them from the kaspersky ftp site to a folder on your pc then set kav5 to update from local folder(one now on your hard drive)

if its lots of emails you will be receiving then something like "benign" http://www.firetrust.com/products/benign/ which is designed specifically for email protection is maybe a better deal and would cover more than an anti virus . Its a once off payment for a life time licence
