DUN fails, downloads *will* break.
Because SB downloads new data directly over existing data,
a broken download leaves SB broken - not only with corrupted
database, but also mildly locked up so XP's Task Manager has
to be used to put it out of its misery.
So, please:
- first download data to inactive form
- then check if the data is complete
- only if so, splat new data over old
- else leave the old data in effect...
- ...so that at least the data is valid!
Thanks. It would be good to be able to download new data
from outside the app, as SpyBot, AdAware, and most avs do,
so that a USB stick can be used to sneakernet updates ;-)
