Is SpywareGuard actually still necessary with all the other protection out there that we have as mentioned eslewhere in these forums?

Hi Slovak,

If you have other programs warning you about BHO's being added, browser changes being made, etc. my answer would be: No, you don't need it.

Personally, I like programs that warn me about changes and let the user decide whether they are wanted or not, as opposed to relying on a database of malware (which is always behind) ;)

Regards,

Pieter

I think I am going to remove it, I have had it for about a year now and never had it warn me of one single thing. Thanks.

Hi Slovak :)
I personally think you should keep it. As Pieter says as opposed to relying on a database of malware (which is always behind) Think carefully before you remove it

{QUOTE-> I have had it for about a year now and never had it warn me of one single thing. <-QUOTE}In that years time....have you attempted to change your Homepage ?

If so....it should have at least warned you of that.

Yes, once or twice at least, but I use Firefox, not Microcrap if that makes any difference.
