Getting Rid of Tray Icon

Unlike some of the rest here, I don't want to see that tray icon. Is there a way to get rid of it and still have NOD32 running in the background?

You can comment out the following key in the registry at cost of not getting alert windows when an infiltration is found: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Oh well...I guess I'll have to live with it.

Just a note if the developers NOD32 are around here, it would be a good option to get rid of the tray icon without losing out on any alerts.

Hope you can add it in future versions.

Thanks. <-QUOTE}If you are using WinXP you can right click the Taskbar, and choose Properties. In the Properties check the box next to "Hide Inactive Icons" and then click the "Customize" button. That will bring up a window that allows you to choose one of three options for each program icon that appears in the system tray: "Hide when inactive," "Always hide," or "Always show."

I leave all my icons as always show and autohide the taskbar.

Yeah I like them there, gives me the warm and fuzzies just seeing the little Green and White symbol there, I know for sure it is happy and working away, however that's just me...

It's not just you :) For peace of mind, I need to see the icons of NOD32, Sygate Pro and BOClean (we chat occasionally too)
