how do you set session cookies in FF1? all i see is box to check to allow sites to set cookies. but if you leave that box unchecked you cant just have session cookies. every time i post here i have to log in again, because i have the box for allow sites to set cookies unchecked. i need a session cookie option. thanks :)

Hello Ice,
If you set it like my screen shot with "ask me every time" selected, then you will have a choice the first time you get a cookie from each particular site.

No problem Ice ;) ,
I like doing it that way to because Firefox learns what you want it to do with cookies from each site. You can always go into view cookies and change them later if you need too.

ive just seen in the drop down box that theres an option to
Keep Cookies: until i close FF . that sounds like session cookies to me, i dont know how i missed that. i'll try the ask every time first, then if i dont like it i'll go to until i close FF thanks again puff-m-d :)

Hello Ice,
With the ask me every time selected, there will be a box to check for FF to remember you choices. After you visit most of your normal sites, you will not even notice as FF will do it all in the background. Just make your choices when FF pops up asking and be sure to select remember and you will be all set.

Just for anyone wondering what the 'Ask' options give you with cookies. :)
