I have an external USB drive and Partition Expert does not detect it under Windows XP.

I've tryed under windows Millenium and it does work, but under windows XP the disk does not even apear.

The same happens with a card reader.

Has anyone having this problem ? Is there a workaround ?

Thanks

I have just installed the latest (build 518) trial version of Disk Director Suite 9.0 and I am having the same problem as you. It will not detect my Crucial Gizmo USB 1.1 128MB flash drive.

This is a shame as I am going to be buying a large external USB 2.0 hard-drive for image backups but due to the problem I will have to resort to buying an alternative product such as PartitionMagic 8.0.

Hello Martins,
Hello Chris,

As I have answered to Chris recently, the current version of Acronis Disk Director Suite doesn't support devices with removable storage (e.g. floppy diskettes, flash cards, card readers, CD discs). However it does support all the models of hard disk drives (ATA, SATA, RAIDs, USB and FireWire hard disk drives).

If you have any problem with detection of your hard disk drive please contact support@acronis.com.

Thank you.
