View Full Version : Port Explorer resolves IP addresses incorrectly

Hi, I have the full version of Port Explorer which is a great tool, however I have noticed that If you select 'Show resolved addresses' some of the resolved names are incorrect. Is this a know bug?

Hi frogfoot, Have you updated your Domain database? You can do so by using:
Help - Check for - New port and domain databases. Though it has been a little while since they were updated.

Thanks for the reply Pilli, I have done as you suggested, however I think I may have tracked down the problem. Agnitum Outpost has the ability to cache DNS entries. Most of these entries have an IP address against a domain, however the ones which showed up incorrectly in Port Explorer had no IP address against the domain. Clearing the DNS table seems to have solved the problem.
