Hi all
I am trying out Firefox at the moment and want to know if Pestpatrol will work OK with it or is it made to run only with Internet explorer?

It will run with Firefox. But I wouldn't advise Pest Patrol because it generates way too many false positives.

What would you suggest as an alternative to Pestpatrol?

You could try Spysweeper, many say it is at Pest Patrol's level, but without all the false positives. SpySweeper has a 30 day trial. http://www.webroot.com
But i feel Pest Patrol is still better at detecting keyloggers and trojans than SpySweeper. So in that case you'll need a anti-trojan such as TDS-3, http://www.diamondcs.com.au
TrojanHunter,http://www.trojanhunter.com
A2 (free), http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free
or Ewido (free).http://www.ewido.net/en
Also Ad-aware (free) and Spybot (free) are very useful programs.
Aluria spyware scanner isn't too bad either. http://www.aluriasoftware.com
For keyloggers i've found Spycop to be helpful. http://www.spycop.com
