Welcome aboard Mrs. BeetleBoss, how are you doing? ;) It's always nice to see new smiling avatars! ;D The short short version you want? Well, we've been travelling into the past, the Pangea period, and the dinos' period for quite a while but someone here requested to go further in the past, that is to say at the beginning of the earth ...so I acquiesced and I decided to start from the Bing Bang...then we will talk of the String Theory and, after the String Theory, we will go back to the earth to the very beginning of its exhistence. I'm now inventing another upgrade for our spaceship... that is the automatic computerised voice recognition system. So you can tell the computer what you want by just simply talking to it! And the computer will record and remember every person's voice. Also, the voice recognition system will not activate the particle beam blaster weapon no matter what you say. A fingerprint ID system will be the only way to activate the weapon. This is the best and most secure way to prevent unauthorised/accidental misuse of the weapon, as the particle beam blaster is extremely lethal.
So, what do you think of my brilliant idea? :D

Another invention-in-development...

Dysentery is a severe diarrheal illness often associated with blood in the feces.

There are two major types: shigellosis, which is caused by one of several types of Shigella bacteria; and amoebic dysentery, which is caused by the amoeba Entameba histolytica.

<A name="Amoebic dysentery">Amoebic dysenteryAmoebic dysentery is transmitted by contaminated water, and is well known as a "travellers dysentery", although it is occasionally seen in Western countries. Liver infection, and subsequent amoebic abcesses can occur. It can be treated with metronidazole or related azole drugs.
out of my own experience: The metronidazole works, but unfortunately it's difficult to determine if the infection is realy gone. it can lurk in the shadows of your bowels for years and then strike again.

Let's let very very carefull. I'm not waiting for a second toilet hell.

I learned how to troubleshoot circuit board problems from the Experts. First - try the smoke test by inserting the biggest fuse available. Then get a 1k watt soldering iron to ensure that all paths are conducting. If that dosen't work go to the big pile of boards in the corner and try to find one w/o scorch marks. Worked for me.

I haven't read thru all the posts here so I don't know if you have come up w/a propulsion sys. If you could make room for a herd of cows maybe Big C could devise an engine to run on methane. Presenting our wilders C500 spaceship water treatment system, it has a filter for filtering dirty germs and parasites and a built-in ultraviolet light for destroying harmful microrganisms in drinking water. The water treatment system or WTS, also has a built-in monitoring system which will produce a beeping sound to alert you that the filter is full or if the product is malfunctioning. The WTS can last for up to a maximum of 1 year, after which the filter needs to be replaced. The built-in ultraviolet light can last a bit longer than the filter.

Whoa Big C, not so fast.

As any 1st yr Jedi Cadet would be able to tell you this sys would spell doom for Earth and all surrounding neighborhoods. I can plainly see from the photo you posted that the system is not one of initialization but one of degredation. I studied all the aspects of the problem (for about 30 secs.) and have come up w/all of the tweaks necessary to complete the fix.

I have a super special available. For only $19.95 you can be one of the first to receive my revelations on the subject. A small shipping & handling charge of $59.95 will be applied. info on the planet jupiter

Jupiter is the fourth brightest object in the sky (after the Sun, the Moon and Venus). It has been known since prehistoric times as a bright "wandering star". But in 1610 when Galileo first pointed a telescope at the sky he discovered Jupiter's four large moons Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto (now known as the Galilean moons) and recorded their motions back and forth around Jupiter. This was the first discovery of a center of motion not apparently centered on the Earth. It was a major point in favor of Copernicus's heliocentric theory of the motions of the planets (along with other new evidence from his telescope: the phases of Venus and the mountains on the Moon). Galileo's outspoken support of the Copernican theory got him in trouble with the Inquisition. Today anyone can repeat Galileo's observations (without fear of retribution :-) using binoculars or an inexpensive telescope.

Jupiter was first visited by Pioneer 10 in 1973 and later by Pioneer 11, Voyager 1, Voyager 2 and Ulysses. The spacecraft Galileo orbited Jupiter for eight years. It is still regularly observed by the Hubble Space Telescope.

The gas planets do not have solid surfaces, their gaseous material simply gets denser with depth (the radii and diameters quoted for the planets are for levels corresponding to a pressure of 1 atmosphere). What we see when looking at these planets is the tops of clouds high in their atmospheres (slightly above the 1 atmosphere level).

Jupiter is about 90% hydrogen and 10% helium (by numbers of atoms, 75/25% by mass) with traces of methane, water, ammonia and "rock". This is very close to the composition of the primordial Solar Nebula from which the entire solar system was formed. Saturn has a similar composition, but Uranus and Neptune have much less hydrogen and helium.

Our knowledge of the interior of Jupiter (and the other gas planets) is highly indirect and likely to remain so for some time. (The data from Galileo's atmospheric probe goes down only about 150 km below the cloud tops.)

Jupiter probably has a core of rocky material amounting to something like 10 to 15 Earth-masses.

Above the core lies the main bulk of the planet in the form of liquid metallic hydrogen. This exotic form of the most common of elements is possible only at pressures exceeding 4 million bars, as is the case in the interior of Jupiter (and Saturn). Liquid metallic hydrogen consists of ionized protons and electrons (like the interior of the Sun but at a far lower temperature). At the temperature and pressure of Jupiter's interior hydrogen is a liquid, not a gas. It is an electrical conductor and the source of Jupiter's magnetic field. This layer probably also contains some helium and traces of various "ices".

The outermost layer is composed primarily of ordinary molecular hydrogen and helium which is liquid in the interior and gaseous further out. The atmosphere we see is just the very top of this deep layer. Water, carbon dioxide, methane and other simple molecules are also present in tiny amounts.

Glad that all works, Nadirah.

I think we need to re-calibrate the onboard clocks on a regular base!

In our orbit around earth,
we had a 7 microseconds slowdown effect, due to our velocity.

But the loss of gravity, when we left the planet, added 45 microseconds.
In order to keep the invisibility trick working, we need to compensate for our speed and the encountered gravitational forces.

It's also vital for the GPS system.

Time travel. When I was a small boy we used to read about Buck Rogers and the future and what it held for us. The mind is a wonderful thing as it lets you dream about what was. what is and what will be.

What is so amazing about what we saw of what the future would hold I am now living it. Radio was the big thing back then. Family was important and Sunday afternoon was spent with them. Sat afternoon was at the local movie house where Gene and Roy were are Heros. Cost was a dime.

I could go on as to what my Future held but I was luckly and have got to live it. So for you that don't believe in Time Travel get on this ship and dream as they will come true.

Our previous analyses of Jupiter's moon, Io, have detected a high rate of energetic electrons, protons and heavier ions. Great quantities of sulfur were also found. 8)

-{ Quote: "We will need our heat shields on just to be safe here are a few specs." }-

Yep. I installed them today! :)

Okay, I found more info on Io.
It would be a good thing to extend our knowledge before
stepping foot on it. ;)

Let see...

Jupiter's moon Io [EYE-oh or EE-oh] is one of the most exotic places in the solar system. It is the most volcanic body known, with lava flows, lava lakes, and giant calderas covering its sulfurous landscape. It has billowing volcanic geysers spewing sulfurous plumes to over 500 kilometers high. Its mountains are much taller than those on Earth, reaching heights of 16 kilometers (52,000 feet).

Io orbits closer to Jupiter's cloud tops than the moon does to Earth. This places Io within an intense radiation belt that bathes the satellite with energetic electrons, protons, and heavier ions. As the Jovian magnetosphere rotates, it sweeps past Io and strips away about 1,000 kilograms (1 ton) per second of volcanic gases and other materials. This produces a neutral cloud of atoms orbiting with Io as well as a huge, doughnut shaped torus of ions that glow in the ultraviolet. The torus's heavy ions migrate outward, and their pressure inflates the Jovian magnetosphere to more than twice its expected size. Some of the more energetic sulfur and oxygen ions fall along the magnetic field into the planet's atmosphere, resulting in auroras. Io acts as an electrical generator as it moves through Jupiter's magnetic field, developing 400,000 volts across its diameter and generating an electric current of 3 million amperes that flows along the magnetic field to the planet's ionosphere.

Imposing moon bigc. I say let's do it!

Ganymede is not only the largest moon of Jupiter, it is the largest moon in the solar system.

* Diameter of Ganymede = 5260 kilometers
* Diameter of Mercury = 4880 kilometers

Not only is Ganymede bigger than the puny planet Pluto, it is actually 380 kilometers larger in diameter than Mercury. If Ganymede orbited the Sun, we'd have no hesitation in calling it a planet. Although Ganymede is larger in diameter than Mercury, it is lower in mass. The average density of Ganymede is only 1900 kg/m3, much less than that of Mercury. Hence, Ganymede is less than half the mass of Mercury. The density of Ganymede is similar to that of Callisto.

The surface of Ganymede differs from that of Callisto, however. Parts of its surface, as seen in the Voyager image below, are covered with grooved terrain.

The grooves are about 10 kilometers apart and 300 meters deep. Judging from the number of impact craters lying on top of them, the grooves formed less than 2 billion years ago. They are probably `stretch marks' in the crust.

Happy New Year to all crew members! :) :) :)

As some of you may have noticed, I have been rather busy lately and unable to visit my Wilders friends as much as I would like. What you may not know :)
is that I have now a second ship to command :) as Dan (Perez) and I have recently got very happily married. :) :) :) So we have been enjoying each others company and, while Dan is working, I have been following my artistic bent with doing various works in pastel and will soon take up oil painting once again.

Still, I hope to come and play whenever I can ;)
