Now,Science Officers bigc and Ronjor how long do you think it will take before we get reconstituted?

Doctor Iceni60, do you think we might have any after-effects?:o

And Devinco, let us know when you'll start smelling the primordial breeze :D

just checked that one out for you, and the result, useing my spacesuit is 98.97% chance of no lasting effects after 24 hours. and 100% after 48 hours.

so the definative answer is no, Captian.

thats a big N... O... Captian, Uguel

(Oh I just don't know how to explain this to the Capitain???
I only opened the door to see if any crew members were out there and I heard someone whispering about some kind of locator!! Oh What to do!
Don't know where they went after they knocked me out, should I tell Security first,GULP!
How could this happen to the Boss of the Pssst!*
My people will just have to get with some other people who will tell Capitain's people that there might be a strange(stranger than us) creature aboard, better buck up!)
HEY!! YOU!! GET BACK HERE!! WHY I OUGHTA...............CLUNK! THUD!!

(noticing the flashing red alert lights and the unconscious body of Marja, Devinco springs to his feet)
INTRUDER ALERT!!!

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 09:07 PM
It appears that when Marja opened the door to look outside in the void between times, she inadvertently allowed a creature that lives there inside the ship! :o

What the creature's motives are is unknown.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 09:09 PM
Security teams! We have an intruder on board.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 09:11 PM
Science department,

Are you able to detect any trace temporal disturbances on board?

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 09:15 PM
Set the stunners to shoot anything that doesn't have a locator bracelet on then throw it back into the void

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 09:20 PM
bigc,

The creature has the ability to appear and disappear at will. It seems to be looking for something. As soon as I get close to grab it, it presses a button on a device it is holding and disappears!

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 09:24 PM
The new stunners can detect motion and will stun that little bugger if you set it on auto detect. Our locator bracelets will protect us from being stunned. ;) if that doesn't work launch a magnetic pulse and it will short out it's electronics then throw it out

ronjor
September 14th, 2004, 09:39 PM
Peaches4u still has a hand in a cast and requests hugger duty only.
Someone will have to cover for her for a couple of eons during time travel.

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 09:44 PM
Hopefully we will have a little quiet time and peaches4u can do a little recuperating. And we can take turns filling in.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 10:02 PM
Peaches,

((((((BIIIIIIG HUUUUUGZZZZZ))))))

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 10:42 PM
Ronjor ... BigC,

I think I see something lurking in the shadows.

(setting stunner on auto detect)
ZAP------ZZAAPP-----ZZZAAAPPP

The creature has some kind of energy shield!
The stun beams just bounced off and ruptured a plasma conduit. Plasma is leaking into the lunch room. It must be contained before we lose too much energy! Or even worse, ruin our food supply!

We need the magnetic pulse to disable the creature's electronic shielding and temporal locator. Then maybe we can grab it, interrogate it, and toss it back out the door into the void.

ronjor
September 14th, 2004, 10:46 PM
Devinco,

Report to sick bay. I think you are still hallucinating from the foul air incident yesterday.
We have yet to decide what antidote to give you. We will put you on oxygen therapy for the time being.

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 10:47 PM
I will activate the magnetic pulse in thirty seconds, grab that slippery bugger as soon as the pulse stops. And we will see what we have on board without a ticket.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 10:50 PM
Ronjor,

Captain said it, the cure is the primordial breeze from the past. No smog, just pure clean air.

ronjor
September 14th, 2004, 10:56 PM
I am deeply concerned about our crew at this point.

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 11:00 PM
But we have to be careful when we get back before the dinosaurs because the air will be poison due to the numerous volcanos. But we did bring refillable mini air tanks that give us an hour and fifteen minutes so we can do a little exploring.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 11:03 PM
Ready Big C!

(A strange blue wave passes through the interior of the ship as Big C activates the magnetic pulse. The creature's electronic device sparks, shorting out, its lights fade out)

Come here you little weasel!

(the Creature, now defenseless, is quite timid and tries to hide. Devinco grabs the cowering figure and brings it into the light.)
You're Bill Gates !?!?!? What are you doing here??

Ronjor ... Big C,

Should we interrogate him?

ronjor

-{ Quote: "Should we interrogate him?" }-

Where is security?

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 11:09 PM
Lets reboot him. I think the creature is a shape shifter and is seeing bill gates picture in your mind and taking his shape lets put him in the decontamination chamber and take a vote to see what to do with it.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 11:10 PM
It must have been Bill Gates who broke the toilet......trying to install SP2! :D

Devinco

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 11:26 PM
We need the whole crew to take a look at the creature one at a time and see if it will take on different shapes from their minds. At least he is secure in the decom. chamber.

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 11:29 PM
Can we PLEASE torture the Bill Gates Creature just a little bit before we throw it back into the void? PLEEAASSEEE? ;D

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 11:31 PM
I have to go to the little boys room, I can't see what is going on from in there. ;D ;)

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 11:34 PM
Okay, but watch out for SP2!

Devinco
September 14th, 2004, 11:43 PM
(the Bill Gates Creature safely trapped in the decompression chamber is now enraged in its captivity bouncing off the walls making horrible squealing screeching noises. In between the squealing, you can make out some words like... "You must install SP2!! It will protect you....muahaahahahaw.")

I say we eject it back into the void. But I guess the Captain will have to make the final decision.

bigc73542
September 14th, 2004, 11:47 PM
Since the captain is injured I vote that we dump the little bugger back into the time vortex and be on our way.

Peaches4U
September 14th, 2004, 11:52 PM

Fellow Time Travel crew members,

I am heading for my quarters. Good night.

Peaches, wish you speedy recovery and big hug.

BigC, please maintain the shielding around the decompression chamber so the creature doesn't get out. There's no telling what trouble it could cause if it escapes.

Fire-Ant, plasma from the busted plasma conduit is spreading into the supply of peanut butter. Could you please repair the leak? Unless everybody doesn't mind Peanut Butter and Plasma Sandwiches?

Captain, Hope you get well soon!
Things just seem to go horribly wrong when you are away. ;)

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 02:28 AM
Aaargh!! My poor aching head! Why is it I am always the only one awake when these things go down?
I see from reading the captain's log (written by Devinco in her absence) that everyone sees something different when they look at the creature!
Since I and my crew are shapeshifters we will get to the bottom of this!!
Shorty, get over here and tell me what you see?

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 02:32 AM
What!!! I am thinking Big C would not have put Marilyn Monroe in the Decompression Chamber, by herself anyway!!
You must have been half asleep, get me someone more awake!
Lilith, quit reading Clinton's book and tell me what you see!!
If this doesn't work I will have to go into the creature's mind and see himself as he sees himself (???)

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 02:41 AM
OMG!!! I can see this will have to come down to me and the creature, a mind-meld, ICK!!! UEEWWW! This is disgusting - what is some of this stuff?? It seems so shallow here, not like a good brain at all!!WhaaaaT! That can't be the real creature, ahh! here is a likely line to his story - What a meglomaniac!!!

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 02:46 AM
This sounds like I am getting somewhere! But, HOW did he get like this? It all looks so innocent, if ego-istic??? Didn't he have any friends?? There is a line - I'll travel down thataway for a while! Looks like he had some friends......Where did they go? What made him go down this path to creaturehood?

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 02:50 AM
I can't seem to get it all, something about the sun and an apple, it gets all jumbled up around them, he seems to have got in touch with a power that will give him unlimited POWERS! Yes, he made a deal with some people who will let him stay as long as he goes along with World Domination, in fact, they MADE him one of THEM!!!! OOOOh the HORROR!!!!

Marja
September 15th, 2004, 03:01 AM
We must warn everyone to stay away from this creature!!!! He is very sneaky, he can read your mind and show you what you want!!! I only hope I did not go tooo far in to his mind..... who knows what I want? Even I don't know what I want!! I certainly don't want this guy to know what I want? What if I wanted something that I should't want? What if I want LongHorn? LongLorn? What if I am wanted? Would wanting.....................

(Lilith, let's put Marja to sleep, she's been Gatus'd, don't know how long this might last, she will have some horrible dreams, but, she will eat some heuvos ranceros in the morning and feel just fine, seem it before I have, hope someone can cook it!)

well, it seems we're all running a slight temperature, appropriate medicine has been given, and with abit/alot of luck things should be back to normal alittle later, like the rest of you i think it seems things go abit odd when the captain isnt about :o

ronjor
September 15th, 2004, 08:22 PM
The Capt will be very unhappy. I think you should reconsider. I think the new crew idea is well and good but, your knowledge will still be needed.

At any rate, I await the Capt and her advice.

September 15th, 2004, 09:14 PM
MEDICAL REPORT:

It seems that i made a big mistake regarding the shots we took ::) . i hope you will forgive me. with my being so excited about the time-travelling, i made an almost unforgivable mistake with the medicine we all took. the medicine is a trial drug which is still in the Beta stages. it turns out the shots had undesirable side-effects, which have brought about our strange happenings.

the events of the past few days are part real, but mostly our imagined thoughts. the effects, i can assure you, have now dissipated.

Perhaps Bigc can confirm this? by explaining to us, that the time taken to time-travel in our craft shouldnt take days, but a mere few seconds.

so in future, with the Captain leading the mission, our trip should be more fun for us all, and we'll learn about the history of our beauitful planet when we arrive at our destinations.

i hope most of all that Bigc can find it in himself to forgive me, as it seems he, out of all of us was having the least fun.

bigc73542
September 15th, 2004, 09:36 PM
Nothing to forgive, mistakes can occure in the excitement of the moment. You are right about almost instantanious time travel even though we are not really moving at all. I have had the crystal power supply filtered down to 12% so we would travel very slowly to make sure all the equiptment was working as planned. Well it seems to be operating as expected except for a brief adventure with the toilet. My decision to return to wilders time central still stands. So far you all have proven that you can function as a team in adverse conditions. If for some reason My physcial presence is required I can use the escape pod to meet with the time ship, they both have a locator chip that will allow for relative ease in finding each other. Keep up the good work and relay my message to the captain and I will be in touch.

bigc
science officer.

P.S. the crystal is reset to 100% so watch the time speed and don't over shoot your desired target.

iceni60
September 15th, 2004, 09:57 PM
ok, bigc. it seems you've made up your mind. i think i speak for all of us when i say im very sad you are going home to wilders :'( and while you are away it wont be the same.

just promise us this-

1, you will join us, at least once, even if it's just for an hour, if we arrive somewhere you know you'd like to visit

2, take good care of Wilders

3, have a safe trip home. no wreakless visits to any of those bars we saw in star wars.

bigc73542
September 15th, 2004, 10:03 PM

About the Pangaea....

please, read this before looking at the gif below....:)

Just before the days of the dinosaurs the Earth's continents were all connected into one huge landmass called Pangaea . This huge supercontinent was surrounded by one gigantic ocean called Panthalassa.
Notice the postion of the continents of Antarctica (Far north of its current position), Australia (flipped sideways and far west of its current position) and the subcontinent of India (Hundreds of miles from Asia).
Scientists believe that the North American continent was located much farther south and east of it's position today. In fact, much of North America was in or near the tropics!! (too bad for Quebec!)::) How do scientists know this?? They have found fossils from this period of time. These fossils are of tropical plants and animals. The fossils have been found in cold regions like North Dakota and Greenland!!! :o

About 180 million years ago the supercontinent Pangea began to break up. Scientists believe that Pangea broke apart for the same reason that the plates are moving today. The movement is caused by the convection currents that roll over in the upper zone of the mantle. This movement in the mantle causes the plates to move slowly across the surface of the Earth. About 200 million years ago Pangaea broke into two new continents Laurasia and Gondwanaland. Laurasia was made of the present day continents of North America (Greenland), Europe, and Asia. Gondwanaland was made of the present day continents of Antarctica, Australia, South America. The subcontinent of India was also part of Gondwanaland. Notice that at this time India was not connected to Asia. The huge ocean of Panthalassa remained but the Atlantic Ocean was going to be born soon with the splitting of North America from the Eurasian Plate.
How do we know that South America was attached to Africa and not to North America 180 million years ago?

Scientists today can read the history of the rock record by studying the age and mineral content of the rocks in a certain area. (Can they guess my age?);D
The Triple Junction was formed because of a three-way split in the crust allowing massive lava flows. The split was caused by an upwelling of magma that broke the crust in three directions and poured out lava over hundreds of square miles of Africa and South America.
The rocks of the triple junction, which today is the west central portion of Africa and the east central portion of South America, are identical matches for age and mineral make up. In other words the rocks in these areas of the two continents were produced at the same time and in the same place. This tells us that South America and Africa were connected at one time!
Today these two continents are separated by the Atlantic Ocean which is over 2000 miles wide!

135 Million Years Ago
About 135 million years ago Laurasia was still moving, and as it moved it broke up into the continents of North America, Europe and Asia (Eurasian plate). Gondwanaland also continued to spread apart and it broke up into the continents of Africa, Antarctica, Australia, South America, and the subcontinent of India. Arabia started to separate from Africa as the Red Sea opened up.
The red arrows indicate the direction of the continental movements. Notice how far the Indian subcontinent has to move to get to its present postion connected to Asia.
The Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans are all beginning to take shape as the continents move toward their present positions.

The plates are still moving today making the Atlantic Ocean larger and the Pacific Ocean smaller. The yellow arrows on the world map indicate the direction of plates movements today.
Notice the position of the Indian Subcontinent today. It moved hundreds of miles in 135 million years at a great speed (4 inches per year!!!) The Indian plate crashed into the Eurasian plate with such speed and force that it created the tallest mountain range on Earth, the Himalayas! What do you predict the world will look like in 100 million or 200 million years? What new mountain ranges will form? Where will new volcanoes erupt?

The Atlantic Ocean will be much larger 50 million years from now and the Pacific Ocean will be much smaller. North and South America will have moved farther west (California moving north) while Greenland will be located farther west but also farther north. The western part of Africa will rotate clockwise and crash into Europe causing great mountain building, while the far eastern region of Africa will rotate eastward toward the Arabian peninsula. Australia will move farther north into the tropics, while New Zealand will move to the south of Australia.
All of these predictions are just that, predictions. These movements of the continents may happen if the plates continue to move in the same direction and with the same speed as they are moving today. Scientists are not certain of the movement today, let alone 50 million years into the future.
What do you think the world will look like in 50 million years???

Perhaps killing wasn't such a good option. Was it alone ?
For some reason I have the feeling that something or someone is watching us. Could it be from a higher spiritual level?
Or should we fear the Eye of the Beholder?

The feeling that you are being watched is probably coming from one of the female crew members. All women have eyes in the back of their heads. So you might want to think about behaving yourselves. ;)

So, Capitain, there IS greenery on Earth now? What happened to the geysers, volcanoes, and all the fireworks? Is this before the dinosaurs? My history classes never spent much time in history!! LOL!! Well, REAL OLDE history! :)

What none of us ever will have been understanding is that once, very soon, time travel will have passed, or shortly will, depending upon what your points of view will have been by tomorrow's bi-annual anniversary next week. That's not to say, because I haven't have said it before a few minutes hence, that what we've all experienced is so far yet to have happened again but the moment it doesn't I wouldnit have been surprised (yet). Set your calendars back to the top of the bottom of this paragraph - damm! Too late! - unless you managed to get here last. Knew you would, according to next year's last century diary. I'm gonna love these prophets.

All replies yet posted have been replied to, so don't waste the paradox until Time says I should have been doing it, but that'll take a while 'cause I'm going to be busy during Christmas 1958.

Not funny. >:(

;)

To dare to be/stay bald in stead of using all kinds of those fake, commercial products is refreshing, hygïenic and brave.
So what if the hair is retreating... shave it all off!
Bald is beautiful.
Show you've got attitude - be bald.

A tribute to all bald people! ;D

Devinco

Some of us are still here......

Hair today...gone tomorrow!

Or was it Hair today ... gone yesterday!

We better not go back in time too far...
What happens if we go back before creation began...before the big bang...before the universe or even space or light or time existed?

Hit the blue button!!

Marja
September 28th, 2004, 02:24 AM

Marja,

You have to be careful where you stick your fingers on this trip! ;D

As for me, while I'm waiting for my hair to grow back, I'll relax in the Time Ship's recreation room. We have a big screen time warp tv that lets you watch any tv program from any time period that broadcast tv signals.
Today there will be Part one (of four) of Origins on Nova on PBS. Should give us some insight to what's in store for us in the past.
