Spybot Search&Destroy won't complete?

Hello Everyone: I am on a friends pc WindowsME and he has Spyware Blaster and SpyBot, his pc was running a little slower than usual lately so I thought I would run Spybot, but it stops half way thru scanning each time and the only thing higlighted in red is BackWeb Lite, I hit Ctrl+alt+delete and it said Spybot has stopped responding! Can anyone tell me how to correct this and get it to FULL Scan? Thanks, Tom PS: it worked in the Past, but have not used it in 6 months.

Are u running the current version of Spybot S&D?

1.3 is the most recent version.
