error opening file [4] on intitial startup scan.
on closing scan it says >> cant open [4] file, being used by another app or operating sys.
can some one tell why ??
is the scan still effective like this ??
what can i do about it pl's ??

The files that show up in blue print are in use by the operating system.
Nothing can get in those files including an antivirus scanner.
Windows is protecting those files.
Your scan is still effective.

should i dissable everything and then do a scan ??
should i do scans with the sys restore disabled and then enable after scan ??

I would just let NOD scan normally. No need to disable anything or turn off system restore.
If malware is found in the future NOD will let you know.
Be sure and read the help file that is included with NOD. It will help you understand most of what you need to know.
And, this forum is open twenty four hours a day for help you may need.

Are you aware that Nod32 has a new version available for FREE to current license holders? It is available from www.nod32.com in the download section, you will need your Username and Password to download it...
