View Full Version : How do i shutdown NOD32?

just wonder how i shut down NOD32.. so it dont start and dont interfear when im testing a new AV.

I have shut off DMON,IMON,AMON and click dont load AMON in startup but it still loads NOD32 but no scanner running...How do i make so it dont even load the NOD32 control panel?

You can simply turn off automatic AMON startup and turn off IMON by clicking the Quit button in the IMON panel.

if i were testing a new AV i would completely remove the old AV first just to insure that there is no conflicts, that way it is better testing.

but i wouldnt even bother any way, nod is good.

Although there can be a few unexpected twists - a quick way to do this is to run msconfig. Under services, uncheck NOD32 Kernel service. Under startup, uncheck nod32kui. Click Apply and reboot. This will bring Windows up without NOD32 running. I would also do the within program disabling mentioned - this guards against mishandling any restarts when you reactivate NOD32 - for example not disabling/uninstalling the AV you were testing.
