Hi All, ;)
Just a quick little favour to ask of a Wilders' Family Member. ;) Could someone check the M$ Update Site for me ... and see if it is working for you. Mine is extremely slow .... and is basically stuck on "checking for latest version" I'm trying to determine if the trouble is at their end or mine. ;)
TIA ;)

Sometimes microsoft is just very weird. U are using V4 of windows update? I am using V5. No updates available.

Dog, actually yesterday i had the same problem as you, so i checked my firewall and i saw traffic from windows update blocked! So i disabled my firewall temporarily and it was ok. I think your firewall is blocking traffic packets from windows update.

I tried the update site. Checked 100% in about 10 seconds. (no updates available ofcourse).
Running XP, but in Dutch language.
Cheers

Did you have checked off the update service somewhere (i.e. SafeXP)?
