hello everyone,
this is zak from japan... congrats eset for choosing the wilders forum to host the official nod32 forum... and thanks paul for finally being convinced to host the nod32 forum here...
now, nod32 (and tds3) users can just go to a single forum to get all the expert help (with a personal touch) when they need it, if they need it...
thanks for the heads up, guys and gals...
nb... this is my second try to post this message... i hope it will go through this time... the first time i tried, i got the "remote server cannot be found" error in my opera...

If its engine is as fast as NOD32's, we'll win! :)

Of course they need it, for sure that's what we are all here for, the many users, all support teams and developers to keep in nice communication and all learn from each other.
Seeing so many ESET/NOD32 people jumping in, have to count if all 32 are there now or is that 32 a version number?
Which reminds me TDS-3.2.1 (was long trime 320 ) and more software i see Aida32 and many many if you look around.......is that "32" a secret code, or did all start at the same time and are now all on their same version 32?
Tell me your secret and we'll still be happy to use the products :)

Actually there are 3200 of us Jooske ... we cut off the double-zero to fit in the available space on our logo. :)

"32" = "32 bit".
Our program name was "NOD-ICE" until the 32 bit version was released in May 1998, when it became "NOD32".

Hi Bobs,
I think many are using TDS3 to cover Trojan protection, although some use Trojan Hunter, Boclean or another AntiTrojan. It's good to combine in a good Anti-Trojan to supplement your Anti-Virus software. Of course, a good firewall can add a little extra something to your protection against this malware, too.
Welcome,

Hi Rod,
Hadn't NOD something to do with a TV-movie?
Vaguely I remember me something like that, but I'm not sure....
Cheers, Jan.

Not directly ... we just pinched the idea. :)
Here's a snip from my website explaining the name ... http://www.nod32.com.au/nod32/about/about.htm
=====
NOD32's "ancestors" were born around the time the first computer viruses appeared. At that time an extremely popular TV series was being broadcast on Czechoslovak Television ... a series which was later translated into many other languages and became known in many other countries. The name of this TV series was "Nemocnica na Okraji Mesta" ... in English, "Hospital at the Edge of the City". The first viruses attacked disk boot sectors, which are located at the edge of a disk. An antivirus program could in a sense be considered a hospital ... "nemocnica" in the Slovak and Czech languages. We decided to name the newly created antivirus program “Nemocnica na Okraji Disku” ... which in English would read “Hospital at the Edge of the Disk”.

That's ok, cause windows is a 32-bit extensions to a 16-bit graphical shell for an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor by a 2-bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition :D

It's been over a week, others have done it like Bitdefender...and believe me the trojan is quite real let say that from an nice IRC chanell I could browse movies that were on my harddrive. :)
P.S.
A more complete .exe file was just sent to you guys.
Cheers
