Given the problems folks have had with 2.0xxxb, seems like we're due no? Anyone heard anything?

As for problems, before you ask, issues have been reported on the ability to terminate downloads, application/memory errors with svchost, lsass, iexplore, acroiexplore file download issues and several others.

Nah, more like an axe to grind. There have been a fair number of problems out there with this beta. I find it difficult to believe that Eset doesn't have enough info to release an update.

I just did a slipstream install of XP/SP2 and the same issues are still there with the beta. My latest is when I try to download Intellipoint 5.2 drivers, download doesn't initiate. Come across this on occasion. Reinstall to the commercial version, zero issues.

I am running 2.12.0Beta and it solves all of my problems! So hopefully a new release will be made available shortly!

No... there's always a select test group that is involved in alpha/intermediate beta build testing. These people make sure the public beta is ready for public consumption.

You and I are using public beta but we are not official testers. Public betas are used to help find problems in the application. Regarless of the size of the official test group, no amount of testing can actually simulate all the different environments that an app runs in, which is why companies release a public beta (best example of a company/product that relied of the feedback of offical beta testers and didn't have a long enough public beta... ZoneAlarm 5.x)
