How do you exclude file from on demand scanner

This may be a dumb question, but how do you exclude a file from scanning in the on demand scanner. I saw in the NOD32 help file how to do it in AMON, but I couldn't find how to do in the on demand scanner. The reason I want to exclude a file is that when I scan my hard drive, I get a false positive (I've checked with half a dozen other scanners--all say file clean) for my IDM.exe file (the executable of Internet Download Manager) and would like to avoid this.

I sent the file in so it can be analyzed and added. It only shows as NewHeur_PE using advanced heuristics. Normal scanning is fine.
