I know this is not a new problem but after installing v1.1 I could not download despite setting my proxy correctly

Stoopid question: you are sure SB has your firewall's permission to phone out, I take it?

Hi!

Yes, my Outpost Firewall does allow SB outgoing activity.

I even uninstalled, deleted, re-downloaded and re-installed SB but to no avail.

BTW, how to download the dat manually if auto fails? Is it possible just to download the latest dat?

I'm afraid I haven't yet solved this problem, but the updates are at least available manually.

Go to the homepage,
http://security.kolla.de/
and look for the all-in-one download at the right bar. Disregard the date in the caption, the link points to the same file as the integrated update would download.
