spybot & PayPal

I really like the program and wanted to contribute some $$ but I found dealing with PayPal extremely frustrating. After supposedly succesfully creating an account I couldn't log in succesfully (retried etc etc) and just finally gave up altogether and closed the account. I couldn't find a way to directly email the author and I know he hangs out here once in a while. Thought he might want to know the $$ he's missing out on. Anybody else have similar grief with PayPal?..thanks

P.S. an email to PayPal just got me an automated piece of BS.
