About the "list of extensions of the scanned files"

maybe this already was discussed here...

If we have the "Scan all files" disable, I will be in hard risk, or with the default extensions I will have a very good protection and will be very hard to be infected?

Do you have the same opinion in AMON, DMON and IMON, or just in one of them...?

Basically ESET most probably updates this extension list via virus definitions.
These extensions cover all files that have been seen to contain viral code.
If they found new one they'll add it. Scanning all files technically detect even those files that cannot do any harm by themself (just a storage temp files for virus/worm). This also includes scanning of files that have different extension,but use for example a normal ZIP compression. If the file is named somefile.ptv it won't be scanned by default extensions even if its a normal ZIP file with ptv extension. Other variant is that NOD32 checks file header instead of extension to determin filetype. This way it doesn't really matter which extension file has...
