No just the one for real time monitoring (at the same time)

Never, never use two AV for real time protection, as one will fake the other, and you'll have strange results.

But you can use one for real time protection, and an other one for a backup deep scan.

I use Kaspersky as real time protection and scanner, and bitdefender free edition as a second line of defense : I scan my disks with it every one in a while.
