Hackers and Terrorists, or Presidents and CEOs?

Service providers are an overlooked threat to network security.

Programmers have long complained about the popular image of hackers as criminals who break into data networks. Many see the term instead as a badge of honor, describing anyone fluent in Assembler or TCP/IP-or more generally, someone who likes to find out how things work. They're reclaiming the word, but only because scaremongers have moved on. The evil hacker has been replaced by a new and even more mythical nemesis: the "cyber-terrorist."
