Hi,

Have you used a previous version of SpywareBlaster without any problems? If so, what version was it?

Thanks,

Yes, I'm using SpywareBlaster for a long time.
The last working version was 3.1 but someday, few weeks ago, it stoped working. I'm not running it everyday so I don't know when it really stop working. When I sayed "stoped working" I mean that I got that error message. I tried to remove the db files, re-installing version 3.1, etc but it didn't work for me. I was busy at that time so I ignored it. Today I tried to install version 3.2 but I still getting that message.
:'(

I think that I have something installed that prevents SWB from running.
I wonder what it trying to do at this step?

hmmm....

SWB's EXE files been encoded by some kind of LZEXE alike utility.
This is a bad idea today since that a buffer overflow hack protection can prevents it from running (executing data as code protection).
Windows XP SP2 (I'm using SP1) has the PAX model of protection (or it should have...) so SWB should not be able to run on Windows XP SP2.

Ahah! That's a very useful piece of info. :)

I wonder if you have one of the new CWS variants?

Can you please follow the HijackThis instructions here (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=15913), and then post a link to your HijackThis thread here? (Also please link to this thread in the HijackThis thread.)

Thanks,

Can I get a version without the utility that compressing the exe files?
I know that the 2 EXEs on the SWB are compressed with some kind of LZEXE tool. The problem is that it's not working on my computer.

Well? just publish a version WITHOUT the LZEXE that you are using.

(please please please)

or at last tell as what you are using to encode the EXEs after compilation.
