QuickHeal has been discussed before;
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=11263&highlight=QuickHeal+Antivirus
And I believe in a recent thread that it is due to have the F-Prot Engine incorporated into the next version.
Most of these AV's are relatively unknown as most of them come from small companies who do not have the big money to advertise their software. In addition most of these products are relatively 'new' and therefore do not have the signature database of 'older' AV's. Therefore detection rates can be low as seen with some of these products at various testing sites.
One way round this is to incorporate an 'older' engine into the product as Quickheal will do as mentioned above and Titan does with a Kaspersky engine.

MKS should be ignored? It has the best heuristics and code emulation detection of any AV product out there and is faster than NOD32 with consistantly better detections.
Think again.

Based on what? Before using "the best" provide us with some facts. Otherwise your comment is just another personal opinion.

I use
7. RHBVS. http://195.58.189.134/~rose-1/software.htm ( This is a free AV ).
---- On demand dos scanner
and others free tools on this page
Seems that Andreas Haak participate on this project if I remember.
Never detects anything, can't tell if it's really good cause my other antivirus apps detected all the nasties before.
Anyway, it works. Can't scan packed files. I use it as my 5 or 6 th virus scanner once in a while. Mostly heuristic.

Yea, it use to be in kazaa but I think too many people complained that it conflicted with their own AV and slowed down downloads considerably.

Virusbuster isn't unknown, it it's got a quite good vb100% score (http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?virusbuster.xml)
I like the effort in this topic, well done :)

A number of these 'less well-known' AV's have been tested by VirusP;

1. XRamp AntiVirus Professional seems to be no longer with us;
http://www.xramp.com/products/xrampav.asp
2. Titan Antivirus Pro - updated URL-
http://www.tomdownload.com/utilities/antivirus/titan_antivirus.htm
It did very well in one of VirusP's tests and this AV had come out of nowhere. However, there have been reports that the use of the engine in this AV has not been officially agreed by Kaspersky!
