Firewall rules

Are there any websites that give detailed instructions for rules for individual applications?
PCFlank has one here http://www.pcflank.com/fw_rules_db.htm
But i wondered if anyone knows of any others that would be worth taking a look at.

Which firewall are you using? Basically, it all looks pretty much the same in all programs, but it would not be bad to read a manual for your own program :). Check www.agnitum.com , the web page of Outpost developer, they have some FAQs and white papers on this topic. You can also download a User Guide in English and detailed info.

Well i have been using the rules from pcflank/sygate and outpost forum and most of these seem pretty much the same.
I just wondered if there was a webpage anywhere that has a basic set of rules for a wide range of programs.

I am currently using the firewall that comes with panda platinum.
